The million dollar question.... My answer DON'T STRESS... out is the days when black and khaki were popular in pictures. In with the new funky fun colors and LAYERS,LAYERS,LAYERS

By adding some layers like a vest,scarf,polo,tie jewelry or hats u can give your images a certain POP. It also lets you have some different choices during the photo session. Your main goal is to have everyone compliment each other but not to "matchy matchy" on colors. Spread out the colors between family members. It's always to have one family member just stand out more then the rest. See how the yellow in this example stands out.

has alot of examples on her blog of pics that help with this. It's always fun if your going to be at a location such as a wall to stand out from it and not blend into the background..

If you need help ask your Photographer. They will more then likely know what will be fun in the location or feel your going for. It's also important that you don't choose shirts with sayings or logos. Hope this healps for all my clients :)
